Optimist Club Christmas Tree Lot

Waterloo Optimist Club Christmas Tree Lot

A Beloved Holiday Tradition Supporting Local Youth

Over 70 Years of Holiday Cheer

Since the early 1950s, the Waterloo Optimist Club has proudly brought the joy of Christmas to the community through our annual Christmas Tree Lot. What started with trees arriving by rail to the local depot has become a cherished tradition spanning generations. Over the years, we’ve even grown our own trees! But today, we bring in truckloads of fresh, high-quality trees to continue this legacy.

This is more than just a tree lot: it’s a place where memories are made, and giving back becomes part of the holiday season.

Tree Varieties & Sizes

We typically have over 250 fresh-cut trees in a variety of sizes and types, ready for your home or business:

  • Fraser Fir – Soft needles, excellent shape, and long-lasting

  • Balsam Fir – Fragrant and full, a traditional favorite

  • Scotch Pine – Sturdy branches, great for heavy ornaments

  • White Pine – Elegant and soft with a beautiful blue-green hue

Whether you're looking for a tall showstopper or something cozy for a small space, we’ve got the perfect tree for you.

  • Community service projects

Every tree you buy helps us invest in the future of our kids. It’s a gift that keeps on giving.

Make It a Tradition

Families return year after year, not just for the trees, but for the experience. Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, we invite you to make this part of your holiday season. Snap a photo with your tree, say hi to our volunteers, and enjoy a true community tradition.
